The Multistrada 1100 widens the horizons of all
those who are ‘sport motorcyclists’ at heart
but still want a bike they can use seven days a week. Riding
a Multistrada makes every road a thrill. The punchy 1100
Desmo L-Twin engine with smoother, more tractable power,
coupled with a refined chassis, delivers confident handling
and optimal comfort, even over long distances.
The unmistakable Ducati Trellis frame combines with a fully-adjustable
suspension that allows the rider to adapt the bike to any
road condition and every riding style. Rider comfort has
been further improved with new vibration-isolated handlebars.
Superb road holding, a powerful 1100 engine and all day
comfort give the versatile Multistrada a unique personality
and character in true Ducati style.
Showa 43mm upside-down forks, fully adjustable to adapt
to different riding styles and road conditions, ensure superior
road holding.
The Multistrada sports a stout single-sided, aluminium
rear swingarm ensuring outstanding rigidity and control.
Superbike-class brakes — Brembo 4-piston calipers
with 320mm discs at the front and a 245mm disc at the rear.
Instrument panel incorporates an electronic/analogue rev
counter and LCD display with information on speed, time,
engine temperature, remaining fuel/distance and fuel reserve,
trip distance, fuel reserve trip and average speed.
The high performance fully adjustable Sachs rear shock
features a handy remote pre-load adjuster for quick tuning
when loads change.
Vibration-isolated handlebars
increase rider comfort and reduce fatigue making short and
long trips equally rewarding.

DESMO POWER
The Multistrada 1100 is powered by the Ducati 2-valve, air-cooled
1100, Desmodromic Dual Spark L-Twin engine, giving it lightning-fast
acceleration with outstanding linear power delivery even
from low engine speeds. The Multistrada engine achieves
its 1100 status thanks to a big 98mm bore and a short stroke
of 71.5mm to produce an impressive 95hp and astounding low-end
torque.
The 1100 also features a wet clutch, dramatically reducing
noise and ensuring a more progressive action and feel for
the rider.
The Dual Spark ignition on the
Multistrada 1100 optimises combustion temperatures, increases
maximum power and torque throughout the rpm range, enhances
reliability and reduces fuel consumption. These features
combine to make the Multistrada Euro 3 compliant.
